How To Download Great Subtitles With VLC Easy
Have you ever wondered how you can get the subtitle of a movie you’re seeing easily without having to go through the trouble of searching for it on google? well, you don’t have to go through all that trouble. I am going to show you a very easy way of how to download subtitles with VLC media player.
Imagine you wanted to see a movie on your pc and you wanted it to be subtitled, then within a few clicks, you’ve gotten the subtitle you want. The procedure that I am going to show you will be as easy as that.
With the following steps, I will show you how you can easily download great subtitles with vlc for desktop or pc.
Launch VLC media player
The first and obvious step is to select the video you want to see. Then open the video with vlc media player.
Navigate to the view tab
When the video starts playing on the vlc media player, navigate your cursor to the View tab at the top left corner of the media player.

Under the view tab, you’ll see VLsub at the bottom. Click on it.
Search for subtitle
After clicking on VLsub, this dialog box will open. All you have to do here is to search for the subtitle by clicking search by hash or search by name.
Download the subtitle
From the list of subtitles shown, you can select anyone you want (I usually select the first subtitle). Then click on ‘Download selection’ and wait for it
When you see ‘Success’ appear at the bottom of the dialog box, it means that your subtitle have been downloaded. Close the dialog box.
NOTE: At the time of writing this, the version of VLC media player used was version 3.0.6.
Easy right? with these few steps, you can download subtitles for various movies and videos. If you don’t like the subtitle you downloaded, you can always delete the srt file from your file explorer and repeat the process again.
